HardBasisPerpetual futures, settled in sats.

Go long or short an oracle-priced market and keep the whole position in bitcoin. Prices are quoted in dollars; nothing you hold is.

Testnet

HardBasis is running on testnet. Test sats have no value, balances and positions may be reset without notice, and referral state starts over when the production venue opens. Nothing on this site is an offer, a solicitation, or advice.

What HardBasis is

HardBasis is a bitcoin-denominated derivatives venue. You deposit sats, you post sats as margin, and every profit, loss, fee, and funding payment moves in sats. Markets are quoted against an external oracle price — bitcoin first, with other oracle-priced underlyings listed as parameter sets rather than as new machinery.

Two things follow from that, and they shape everything else on this site.

There is no order book. Your counterparty is the HardBasis vault, always. The price you get is the oracle mid, moved against you by a spread and a skew term — never better. That makes a market tradeable on day one without waiting for two-sided liquidity, and it means slippage here is a published formula rather than whoever happens to be resting size.

Your position is a claim on us; your idle balance is not. Balances sit in your own Spark leaves, which you can exit unilaterally. The moment you post margin, those sats move to HardBasis and the position becomes a claim on this engine. We say it in one line: self-custodial funds, custodial positions. The Proof of Reserves page is where that claim is made checkable.
